Tripoto, an online travel community and social network today went under the umbrella of Amadeus Next community- an initiative by the travel tech giant to foster young start-up community in the APAC region.
Amadeus is a leader of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry. Their customer groups include travel providers from airlines to hotels, OTAs and travel agencies, and corporations and travel management companies. The group operates as a transaction-based business model.
Amadeus Next is an initiative by Amadeus to foster the leading travel startup community in APAC region. Amadeus Next mentors, nurtures, and partners with start-ups in Asia Pacific to help them scale into the next level of growth into awesome companies. It’s an ecosystem of like-minded partners and organisations that are equally excited about the travel tech as they are.
Tripoto will receive access to travel search and bookings data along with Amadeus technology. They look forward to deepening their Artificial Intelligence(AI) and to build more personalised solutions for their consumer base. They are hoping to develop their end to end holiday planning and transaction on the platform.

Tripoto was founded by IIT Delhi and ISB alumni Anirudh Gupta and Micheal Lyngdoh (Also read: Micheal Lyngdoh talk about Tripoto AI) in September 2013. The start-up is a social platform to share and discover travel destinations. It has the largest curated source of user-generated travel itineraries with around 300,000 itineraries, created through its web and mobile publishing platforms. More than 2 million travellers use the platform every month and the online community has a cumulative reach of 15 million travellers across platforms.
